Dear friends,
The web-site of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association www.iria.in has incorporated a lot of changes
since its inception. Now not only Indian Radiologists are accessing the site but many imaging specialists
around the world access our site because of its informative links and education inputs. We have created a link
to our site on different Radiology Association sites including the official European Society of Radiology and
International Society of Radiology web-sites. We have also started our very own blog at
http://www.radiologistindia.blogspot.com/ and created a link to this blog on our home page.
This blog has the primary aim of highlighting recent articles in radiology and radiology news
and views. I shall be updating this blog very frequently. I request members to send their own
news views or interesting articles to me at my email address sandeep@iria.in and we shall
incorporate the link on our blog. Please contribute frequently to our web-site in the form of
your CME's, interesting cases, good radiology site links, your power point presentations, imaging atlas etc.
From this edition onwards imagnostics will not be incorporating abstracts of recent articles. Since imaging is
such a dynamic modality all recent updates will be incorporated in our blog whic is a single-click access from
our home-page (Just click on e-blogger).
Hope you enjoy the new features of the web-site. I am happy to tell you that the RSNA journals and the Journal
of the American College of Radiology can be accessed from our IRIA HQ office. Apart from this many of the recent
journals can be accessed from anywhere in India free-of-cost using the High wire press journals link on our home-page.
We are trying our best to make the site interesting for you. The site belongs to our members and I request you once
again to contribute to the site.
I'll leave you with a thought to ponder about;
YOU WIN, WHEN YOU AREN'T AFRAID TO LOSE
The difference between great and average is how often you take risks. Accept risk as a normal part of living.
View risk as a part of the process of exploring your world. Make note of the lessons you learn with each chance you
take and move on. Forget about the consequences of taking chances. Risk opens you to only a temporary change in
direction that can set you straight for your next success. If you're brave enough to risk, to temporarily live
outside of your comfort zone for a short period of time, you're big enough to win.
These words of wisdom are from the daily guru and more such messages can be accessed at www.thedailyguru.com
Till we meet again in the real or virtual world,
Namaskar
Sandeep Kawlra
