2011 RSNA Introduction to Research for International Young Academics (IRIYA) Program
The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) is currently accepting nominations/applications for the 2011 RSNA Introduction to Research for International Young Academics (IRIYA) Program. The focus of this program is to encourage young radiologists from countries outside of North America to pursue careers in academic radiology. The program consists of a special seminar that is held during the RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting. Complimentary registration, shared accommodation at the Chicago Marriott Hotel, and an additional travel stipend will be awarded to successful candidates. Participants are also awarded a one-year electronic subscription to the RSNA journals, Radiology and RadioGraphics.
Fifteen International Young Academics will be selected by the Committee on International Relations and Education and recommended to the RSNA Board of Directors for approval. Eligible candidates are residents and fellows currently in radiology training programs, or radiologists not more than two years out of training, who are beginning or considering an academic career (research or teaching). Nominations will be made by the candidate’s department chairperson or training director. Fluency in English is required.
